When we fail to properly listen, empathize, and then respond with truth, we may inadvertently hurt the people we're trying to reach. By focusing on the hearer—their thoughts and beliefs—and responding in a biblical and meaningful way, the emphasis shifts from merely telling people about Jesus to co-creating in their learning experience.
